How rewards work
Rewards are prizes students earn as they raise more: say, a wristband at $25, a T-shirt at $50 and a medal at $100. They're included in the Premium plan.
Earning rewards
- Each reward has an amount. A student earns it once their total for the event reaches that amount.
- Rewards are cumulative: a student who has raised $60 has earned both the wristband and the T-shirt.
- Cash and check donations count, as well as online ones.
- Earning is worked out automatically from each student's total, so there's nothing to update as donations come in.
- Only active participants are tracked.
Handing them out
The Hand-out report shows who has earned what and hasn't received it yet. When you hand a reward over, mark it as given, and the report keeps a record of who marked it and when. See Using the hand-out report.
If a student's total goes down
Rarely, a total can drop, for example after a refund. A reward that's already been given stays recorded, and the report flags it as No longer qualifies so you're aware. Nobody's record is deleted.
Tip: Mention the rewards when you share students' pages. "Raise $50 and get the T-shirt" gives every student a clear target.
